azn punks

has anyone ever noticed those azn girls that wear those black belts with the metal spikes? they seem to be pretty fashionable these days. or trendy might be a better word. anyhow, i've noticed a few of my friends doing this... but these girls aren't punk. they don't know any punk bands or songs... but punk accessories seem to be the thing i guess. okay... maybe they've heard of green day, but they're so mainstream!

though, there are a few exceptions to the rule of course. i know a few that are all punked out.. with their vintage clash t-shirt and mad piercings. and they're all about the music and the punk rock culture.

but what's up with the punk rock posers? i can only attribute this phenomenon to... final fantasy. have you seen the character designs for the last few final fantasies? not counting tactics. there's always this goth/punk style to it. i want pants like that guy in ffXII!! heck yeah... that rocks. oh yeah, there are a lot of hard core punk japanese people. speaking of which, i just bought the flcl soundtrack. the pillows rock! but are they punk?
